Good list of parts. Having owned that scope for quite a while, you are going to want more glass is my prediction. My wife ended up with it and I graduated to a RZR GenII. Its good glass, dont get me wrong, but having tried a buddies 6.5 and a RZR, I was doomed.

Take a look at the riser pieces for the cheek rest and a Victor rest too. Very handy for the AI rifles and Chassis systems.

Thanks for the recommendations. Yeah I found the PST for a crazy good price on closeout from Cabelas. I have a NF NXS F1 on my gas gun and just looking through the PST into my backyard I can already tell I will be upgrading it down the line. My first choice in glass for this rifle was the PST Gen 2 with EBR-2C MRAD reticle. No one had it in stock for a decent price or they were back-ordered months. When I grow out of this one I am sure I will have another rifle that can use it.

I have a buddy that laid hands on the GenII PST and he really likes it. I did the same thing with my PST, got it as an open box demo for way under retail. The good news was there was an HST on my wifes at the time and my hunting rifle inherited it! I forgot to mention we replaced both cheek rests with the tacky model from Victor. Very helpful in hot weather out here.

I've had the original PST 6-24 for about 5 years and it works fine.  I like my newer Burris XTR II better but the old Vortex is still a good scope and gets used regularly.

Specs on the rifle?
I feel like a hack since I didn't "build" the rifle. It's just a regular factory rifle from Q called The Fix. I swapped out the top rail for a shorter one, did a Vortex HD AMG in a Geissele 20moa mount, KAC mags, US Optics folding level, and a modular evolution bipod.

Overall I'm very pleased with the rifle, it has shot great, and every round is predictable. I have hopes of harvesting some game animals with it this year.

Looks like they're on a ratchet strap type system and they're pulled really tight, right enough that you can't twist them at that intersection.

REALLY like it. has some minor issues but nothing I cant live with esp for this price.

To remove the bolt I have to competently take out the cheekpiece, and it seems like the rear of the front handguard could use a couple screws to keep it lined up tight to the rear section but really other than that its awesome. The trigger guard is all metal and the alum chassis section is very tight tolerance. getting the action block to line up with the action was a tight fit. no slop on this thing.

Wish I could say the same for the tactical bolt handle which does have a very small amount of wiggle if you really look for it, not noticeable in use though. Nicest  bolt gun I own, almost sad its a .223.

The flash kinda washes out the colors. it looks better in person. Want to ceracoat the whole thing some day.

Funny thing is, when I ordered this I was waffling between the element and this. I originally wanted more of a "chassis" and less of a "stock" but the lower price and not having to buy a buttstock for it won me over.

Thanks for that info. I was holding out for the Howa version, but KRG said they were looking at a possible July release date and I found a great deal on the Element. No complaints, the machining and fit are awesome. I was really wanting that Bravo, though. I'm warming up to the whole pure chassis setup.

It still holds 1/2-1/4" @100 with my reloads or Fed GMM. I wanted to try a muzzle device and it has made a big difference (got a bit louder, but the recoil reduction was worth it)

Got out to the range today. Regular ol' Rem 700 cut to 20" in .308, not trued or bedded yet, Surefire socom 762-rc suppressor, 175 gr FGMM. Haven't fully figured out reloading yet, but that's in the cards.

I always shoot groups like this, 4 shots touching or very close, then the 5th is farther off. Can't figure out if I'm just psyching myself out.

I'm just starting to try long range, haven't shot farther than 100 yards since the Army, > 30 years ago.

I joined a club with a 600 yard range last week.  (Yes, I know that's not long range, but it's all I can get for now.)

I have a few bolt guns that are up to the task.  I need to catch up to them.

RPR in 6.5 CM on the left, with a Burris XTR II 5-25.

Bergara HMR .308, has a Zeiss 3-12 in the pic, since swapped out for a Nikon FX1000 4-16.

And I can't believe I don't have a finished pic of this 1.  RW Snyder .308, Bartlein M24 barrel, Timney 2-stage, Greyboe Renegade stock.

I can't take any credit at all for the build.  I didn't build it obviously, and I traded for it.

Now it has a YHM Phantom mount, and the same Nikon as the Bergara.

My 1st attempt at a group with it.
