Man there are some NICE rifles in this thread. Here is my old beater, Remington 700VS, .308 Win with an old Japanese made Tasco 6-24x scope. Nothing special at all.
Hand loaded 168 Sierra Match Kings over H380 with Neil Jones benchrest dies. I keep thinking I'll upgrade optics some day, but damn, it shoots good with this old thing.

I've had this thing since about 1994-95. First bolt gun I'd ever owned and it was brand new. It wasn't very expensive either as a recall? A friend of mine's dad, an old benchrest shooter, told me to shoot a box of shells through it and send 5 pieces of the fired brass to this guy I'd never heard of, and he'd make me some reloading dies for it. Old Joe spent a lot of time teaching me how to work up a good load and being VERY patient trying to show a 25 year old kid how to shoot the damn thing! He did one hell of a trigger job on it too.

Remington 700 Sendero SFII in .300 RUM with a Bushnell Elite Tactical 6500 in 4.5-30X50mm. I have added a Bradley Cheek Rest and Timney trigger set at 1.5 pounds.

I have shot several groups under .5 inches at 100 yards, but here are some of the better ones. All are 3 shot groups.

89.5 grains of Retumbo under a 230 grain Berger set at .030" off the lands.

86.0 grains of RL 25 under a 210 grain Berger set at .030" off the lands.

97.0 grains of H50BMG under a 230 grain Berger set at .030" off the lands.

I recently had the opportunity to shoot the gun at 800 yards, however, the winds were blowing 20-30mph. I was able to shoot the group below though even in the wind. It is the same load as listed in the first group photo and measured 6.5 inches. I'm sure the gun could hold .5 MOA out to 800 yards with an awesome shooter and calm winds.

It was still blowing through a steel H-Beam at 800 yards.

I'm afraid after shooting 4 or 5, five shot groups the barrel may melt down...haha. Seriously though, after 2, three shot groups the barrel gets insanely hot during summer temperatures. That is one of the downsides of these big magnums, you can't fire too many rounds in a short period of time.

I would imagine that barrel does get pretty warm. I have shot some pretty decent 3 shot groups with my .338 win mag, and it's a lightweight rifle compared to that Sendero. The regular magnum weight barrel gets hot...and I tend to flinch at about 4 or 5 shots. I know it's all in my head

Just picked up this Merdith Custom Rifle.

Stiller action
Bartlien 21" 1/11.25 twist with 5/8x24 threads
Manners T4A(I think?) with elite shell in GAP camo
Jewel trigger
Not sure on the DBM
Badger low rings
Vortex PST 4-16x50 SFP

After firing 5 shots to get it pretty close on target I fired this five shot group. I didn't measure it but a dime cover it completely.

Hey guys,

New member here but I've been lurking for years.  This is the first gun I ever owned. I started off with a love for precision guns, and have upgraded this rifle over the years the best I could. What I'd still like to add is a Vortex Razor II and Manners T4A with mini chassis.

Specs...

Remington 700 SPS Tac 20" .308
Choate Tac stock
CDI bottom metal with C products mags
Falcon Menace 4-14x44 for mil
EGW 20 MOA base
XTR low rings
Tac Ops bolt knob and cheek rest
Harris SBR-M bipod with handle
Tac Ops scope level

All metal parts sprayed with air dry coyote tan Cerakote.  Stock base color: Air dry desert tan Cerakote.  Camo colors: air dry coyote tan and a mixture of air dry FDE, desert tan, black Cerakote.

I just copy the actual image location from PB then put it into the quick image tags in the reply screen.  Always seems to work. Anyways hopefully that fixed it for you...

Your pictures have to be approved by Team Members, Mods, or Staff. After 3 approvals they show up, IIRC. Should show up like normal once you get to 50 posts or so.

The rifle shoots far better than I'm capable of. No 5-shot groups to post. Like a previous poster said, I fall apart like a cheap suit after a few shots.

Should just determine wine glass as well as assist saving slightly extended. Looking back I wish I may have got merely purchased a stiller or maybe doctor instead of while using the Seven-hundred.There's no plan to produce a .308 conversion for that ARX-100, it wouldn't end up being feasible anyway.
