Never had this problem before, but I am having a little trouble getting good cheek weld. Its on an older r700 XCR LRT...  I noticed that if I put about 3/16 of in inch pad on my butt stock, I get perfect cheek weld. I've went the Karsten route before and it seems like a waste for how little of a raise I need. I am thinking of cutting up a blanket and taping it... Any better suggestions?

I have always used pipe insulation and vet wrap.  Cheap... durable... easy...

Just cut a strip from one of the foam mouse pads.  If you need to layer them to get the perfect weld, do it.  You can use either glue or velcro.

Karsten's product is awesome and he supports the shit out of those things (he sent me a lot of hardware as I've used them a few times).  He'd send pieces and parts to my door, no payment accepted, he even paid the shipping.  Hell of a guy.

I love the Karsten's I have had them on rifles before, but it seems like a waste for such a small adjustment.... I think I will try the vet tape and a mouse pad.... cheap and simple lol
