I put my 10 FP-SR in a Bell & Carlson M40 stock with the Accurate Mag bottom metal. I did not have to do anything to fit the bottom metal. I did have to get shorter action screws from the ones I was using with the Savage bottom metal.

Did this require inletting? Did you order directly from McMillan?

This appears to use proprietary Accurate Mag mag. Is that correct?

No the Accurate Mag Bottom Metal is suppose to be AICS compatible. My MDT mags should be here today so I'll let you know how they fit.

Savage 10 FP-SR (.223) with Bell & Carlson M40 stock Accurate Mag bottom metal and MDT 10 round poly mag

Accurate Mag bottom metal. Had to use 1/4-28 x 1 3/4 and 1 1/8 cap screws for this set-up.

Mags fit nice and tight. Fed and extracted great with the dummy rounds I ran through it.

Does anyone know if the Accurate Mag bottom metal takes AICS P-Mags?

This was my reason for asking. I think I'll be going with a CDI bottom metal. They are supposed to be really good and will inlet your stock for free.

I don't have any of the AICS P-Mags but MDT AICS style Poly Mags fit my Accurate Mag bottom metal great here.

I doubt CDI will inlet for free. Even at $60 and free shipping back it's a steal. Turn around is a week or less. I've had 2 done by CDI. Would do a third.
