What kind of quality can be expected from a Howa 1500 rifle? Never fooled with them but the receivers are good looking.

Do some searching and you'll see the connection with Weatherby actions. Solid and reliable. Timney makes a good trigger for them as well.

IMO it's a better action then a Remington or Savage (and that's coming from a Savage owner). 1 piece forged bolt/handle, M16/Sako extractor, flat bottom action with integral recoil lug, great factory 2 stage trigger. Mark at SAC has a few videos on youtube showing that they do a pretty good job on the machining from the factory.

One of the best actions. Just don't tell anyone. Cheap complete guns for $350. I have had 3 and all were very accurate. Wish I still had the 7RM.
They used to come with steel floor plates, not sure if they still do.

The stock trigger can safely be tuned down to 10oz if you know what you re doing.  Even if you don't know what you re doing you can turn a couple screws and get it safely down to 1.5lbs

This was the first firearm I ever bought. I love the thing. I show up with it and people laugh. Then we shoot And they ask me again what I bought lol.
