I'm looking at 6mm barrels and I see that there are options for anywhere from 3 to 6 grooves in the various twist rates. What advantages/disadvantages are there for more or less grooves?

Curious as well.

Stability, friction, and fouling are the talking points I seem to remember reading before.

I believe the dimensions and quality of the grooves are more important than the number. I've fired some 2 groove Springfields that would cloverleaf until they heated up and I'd almost bet there's a few "micro-groove" type (9 grooves?) barrels that shoot very well.

I stick with 4 or 6.

5 been a pretty good number for many years with many trophies won but I have seen the trend moving towards 3 lands and grooves.
