Does anybody know what's going on with these?  I can't find them in stock anywhere.

Brand new for 2015. It will prob be awhile. I hoping Cabelas will do an exclusive non accustock version for a ou the same price.

Thanks for the info.  Yeah that would be sweet if they did.  I was tempted to just get one of those, but it would be nice to have the left handed one.

I know what you mean. I wanted a 10FLCP and they stopped making them. When I saw the right hand FCPSR I called the custom shop and they quoted me $1200 for a LH.

Yeah, Savage is kind of shaking a bunch of things up right now with its product lines - for example, they have dropped a LOT of blind-magazine rifles, and replaced them with (or are only selling the) detachable box mag models.

And, it seems like during this transition, it seems like all the stores are low on Savage inventory all around.

Savage previously sold an FCP-SR, then discontinued it.  They're now selling a new model of rifle, with the same name as the previous.   The store in question may have been referring to discontinuing the old model.

If your looking for one they can order it from a store. Or tell you what store has one and you should be able to order it directly

And also discontinued most of LH rifles that aren't just basic hunting setups.

The shortages usually have slot to do with the sales. Savages fly off the shelves when they are on sale for $100 and also have a $100 MIR.

I found that Cabelas ability to order one of these was not so good.  I nade numerous calls the 2 stores that are within driving distance and both were unable to order the Savage 10T for me.  The customer service for corporatre was no better.

Here is the reply I got when I asked how to "special order" a rifle.

Hello Paul,

I am terribly sorry to hear about this situation. I have passed your comments on as you requested. I can assure you that it will be read but unfortunately I am not able to guarantee that you will receive a response back. I do apologize.

Thank you for visiting cabelas.com and come back soon!

yeah, they never got back.  Anyways I stumbled into one a few weeks later and am very happy with it.  BTW my 10T came with an accustock so I bought it over the  Savage 10 FLCP-SR that was on sale.  Still get the rebate though.

Here is what I've discovered on my search for the exact same rifle.............................except in right hand
Several distributors have them listed as out of stock, no time frame on when they'll get any. I have them on back order.
Some distributors have completely removed this model from their line up and are not planning on re-listing it.

I'm thinking I may just order the 10FCP-HS and send it to the gunsmith to thread barrel and provide my own mount. The only thing is this gun is about $300.00 more to begin with due to the HS-Precision stock, which is a good thing anyway for me. It's just that I thought I'd go with the 10FCP-SR and get some of the things to begin with.

Has anyone found this rifle for sale...anywhere?

I'm a lefty and looking for the same rifle. I have a dealer I'm working with who's got 14 distributors working on finding one but it's taking forever.  From what I've seen and found from research this is exactly what I want, so hope it's worth the wait.

Another thing I've considered is buying a used LH Remington 700 SPS off of the local Armslist and using the barrel and action to do a custom build with aftermarket stock/parts/etc.  Not my first choice, but damn finding left handed rifles is a bugger right now!

I will buy one of these rifle in the next couple of months. Hoping by then they will catch up on inventory and you will be able to find one. I have emails alerts from at least a dozen websites, and have for months, and still no rifle.

Side note, finding a left hand bow is just as bad. Went to order my son a bow for Christmas and Hoyt is saying 6-8 weeks. They simply do not stock left handed bows and they all have to be custom made. I had mine made over two years ago and it took right at 8 weeks....and that was in the summer.

Let's bump this to the top, I'm still looking for one cash in hand.
