Currently building a Remington 700 precision rifle, I have a new 700 ADL varmint 308 and I'll be replacing the trigger with a timney and the stock. Since both are close in price which one in your opinion is the better option?

I have this HS Precision

and this B&C

and I find then to be equal in quality.  I would just see what stock feels better and get whichever one suits you and get it

that's a pretty easy choice.

pick the one not affiliated with Lon Horiuchi

I have seen several more fitment complaints in forums about the B&C stocks than HS-P stocks.

I went with the HS stock for my Remington 700 Varminter. It works great for me.

I have an HS precision and it works great. However a friend of mine also has one and it's terrible. Parts of it have crumbled away.

I have a HS and a BC. I like the BC M40 better than the HS stock that I have.

Thanks, I do like the looks of the BC over the HS.

Having owned more than one of both, the HS is a considerably higher quality stock, with less modern designs. I would try to save a little more for a Manners or McMillan if it were me, but of the two, HS would be the easy choice for me.

Got a HS stock off the EE, it was a new takeoff from a Remington. I really like the quality.
