Went to the range to try my hand at 500 yards.

Conditions: 27°F, 1300ft altitude, no wind.
Ammo: 60gr NBT, 25gr XBR, 7.5 Rem primer, once fire LC11 brass, 2770 fps
Gun: 16" LaRue Stealth upper, Bushnell 3-12x44 Elite Tactical scope, SSA-E trigger.

With a 200 yard zero I had it dial to 2.8mils.

The shots circled in red are adjustments to the scope.  POA center of the plate.  The plate is 12"x12"

I can see the reason for heavier and high BC bullets.

I had a very small breeze come though and it started to push the bullets off target.

Which mat is that and how did it do with the snow? Did it absorb water as the snow melted under you? Was it easy to brush off when you were finished?

Snow did not stick and no water adsorption. It works very well.

OH NO!!!! Say it isn't so!!!!! I'm sorry to tell you but you've taken it a bit too far now as there will be little to no help for you now. Everyone please keep this person in your prayers!!!

Pssssssst  I suffer from the same addiction also................... hehehehehehe

Just yesterday I was "home on the range" trying out some new recipes at 500 yards. I pulled off a 3.75" 5 shot group and just as I was taking a picture of it my phone died!!! So, I do not have any pictorial evidence that it actually happened!! Oh well, it was fun!!!! And I know it happened!! Woohoo.

Stay safe, shoot small, one shot one kill and Merry Christmas!!!

Next time I'm going to have to get a big backer and a bunch of 12" shoot-n-c's

Walking 500 yards and back to repaint the plate takes time .

Actually that is what I worked on today. I was able to set up another target at 600 yards.
