Has anyone tried the VFG that Versa Pod make which also doubles as a bipod adaptor? It's this one.
The rifle I'd be using it on has a charging handle which is placed forward and to the left, a little above and behind where the VFG would mount. Placing my supporting hand on a VFG rather than the rear of the stock would allow for an easier, quicker reach to the charging handle. Not the most aesthetically pleasing choice of accessory, but it seems practical in theory. Here's an image (not mine) of the rifle - it's an AUG Z Sport. Unfortunately, these are sold as a straight-pull here, not a self-loader, so you're manually cycling it for each round.
