| Looking to load something a little heavier for my 1/7 barrel than the 55gr that I have been using. Does anyone have any recommendations for bullets that I can get in bulk 1k-6k with reasonable availability and price? I have read that 62's can be hard to find. I know they will be a little more than 55's but there has to be a sweet spot between 55's and expensive match grade hps or similar. |
| I have started using Hornady 62grn FMJ. I have had great luck with their 55grn FMJ, and the 62s look good so far. Added bonus: no steel core = legal for a broader range of uses (some ranges/matches don't allow M855). |

The only quality 22 cal 62gr FMJ is the Hornady that is limited to Midway at this time. Should be more widely available after the first of the year.
Hornady has bulk 22 cal 68 and 75gr OTM bullets available. Nosler had 1000 ct boxes of 22 cal 69 and 77gr OTM bullets available too! |

Nosler 69's and 77's are available in 1000 bullet boxes from the usual suspects. They are very good bullets.
I have never been impressed with any FMJ, the only one I would recommend is Hornady's. For whatever reason they seem to be the only company that can make a FMJ shoot half-way decent for an economical price. Widener's Reloading occasionally has 6000 or 4000 bullets boxes available of Hornady Match Bullets at fantastic prices. You have to check the top of their home page, the "Specials", and see what's available. Act quickly when they go on sale, they won't last long. I got a 6000 bullet box of Hornady 52 grain hpbt match bullet for $458.00 earlier this year. Almost as cheap as the FMJ's. That's was over $300.00 under the normal price. 68's and 75's have been sold recently for just over .10 cents each in bulk. Those prices are too good to pass up, even if you don't need them or even can't afford them at the moment. Credit Cards are a wonderful invention. |

Be patient and keep your eyes open for Nosler over runs and blems at shootersproshop.com, right now they are out of stock, but the 69s were available at $119/K. This. Yesteday, I had 2000 80g Custom Competitions delivered yesterday at 11 cents shipped. They offer a veterans 10% discount. |

Those 80s have shot 4" groups at 600 from 2 different WOA uppers. slightly below 1" to 1.5" at 300 yards from a savage bolt action. |

Others:
Hornady v max 60 gr, Nosler ballistic tip 60 gr, varmageddon 62 and 63 IIRC. Sierra 77 gr TMK, one of my favorites out to 600. Work from mag length up. Have not shown much sensitivity to seating depth and have been very accurate in every rifle I have tried. I need to try out the 69 TMK, been too busy with the 90 gr SMK lately and it has taken all my time. |

24gr Varget or Reloder 15, Wolf SRM primer Lapau brass. 0.015 off the lands. Literally loads for my AR that I ran into the seating die to fit the throating of the bolt actions chamber.
23.5 Gr Tac, Rem 7 1/2, Brass and seating depth the same. Runs great in both guns. Savage F-TR |

Monmouth Reloading have a very good deal on Nosler Custom Competition 69gr bullets right now if you can't wait for the overruns that others have mentioned. $72.95 per 500 and very reasonable shipping charges ($19.80 to ship 4,000 to me via Priority Mail). Link.
