I want to work up a load for cfe223 and 75 grain Hornady hpbt. Do any of you have load data that would give me a good starting point?

i have the book. I was hoping someone could get me close so i don't have to go through the process. it would be nice to start at a point that is working well for others.

i usually start the load or two before max. it it groups decent, i move closer to the max. if it doesn't group good at all i use a different powder

Here's my results out of my 20" 1:8 twist stainless free float barreled AR

I'm sure someone with some actual "precision rifle" skills can do better

24 and 25.2 worked well for me.
LC brass
CCI #450
Also look into 8208XBR.

I have tried two different lots of CFE223. A full grain difference between the two lots gave me the same velocity and groups. Not very good on their lot to lot consistency, something to watch out for.

A lot hotter than the books but I ended up with:

26.3 grains
LC 14 brass 1x fired
Tula 5.56 primer
2765 fps out of a 1:8 twist 18" barrel

The last lot of powder I had was around 25 grains for the same results. Definitely work up to whatever your goals are. No signs of pressure in my rifle on a 105 degree day.
