| I'm having a hard time sourcing H4350, so looking for alternatives. I'm Shooting a 26" 260 Rem and 140-143 gr projectiles. I see load data for H4831, but I don't have any experience with this powder. Can anyone give any insight as to how this powder performs with 260 Rem and also it's temp stability? |
I use H4831SC in my .260 Rem. with 140 grain SST bullets. I'm very satisfied with the combo. It gives me about 2650fps our of a 22" barrel. "Unfortunately", my .260 is a lightweight hunting rifle so I can't give you the detailed answer you probably want as I don't track the performance data closely on my hunting rifles. I can tell you loads I develop in the summer take deer just fine in the fall.
