Well, I was gonna dust off the reloading rig and do some .440 Corbon again...... ordered me some .502 Thunder Sabre brass that I will neck to .440 Corbon.  The .502 T-Sabre, according to old posts (archived) is basically a .50 AE with the 7.62x39 head....so in theory, I won't have an issue with "destroyed" extractors.

Unfortunately, I only have one source of info on reloading (Cartridges of the World) and I seem to have misplaced my reloading data on the .440 Corbon.  It's been THAT long since I loaded for it.....

So, does anyone have any old data?  I tried searching and I can't find any online any more.  I mean, the 440 Corbon is "obsolete".  I haven't seen it on the Corbon site for a LONG time.  I've lost track of all the "main" reloading sites and the reloading book I have predates the .440 and I'm sure that current ones don't have the load....I think.

I might have a few Hodgesn (spelling) reloading magazines that date to around 2005....which could have data in it.... but I those might be stored....

If anyone can help, thanks....

Well, I found some data that is suppose to be from Corbon (way back).

I finally have the components to do my hybrid 440 Corbon (minus the bolt).  I call it a hybrid, since I will be using .502 Thunder Sabre cases from R&J Firearms, who brought out the rights and left over material from the original creator.

The .502 Thunder Sabre is basically a 50 AE case, BUT it has the head of a 7.62x39 (which AR bolts are around and common).  You can also describe it as a shortened 50 Beawulf case (which I was going to use and trim till I discovered the .502 Thunder Sabre.)  Less work....just re-sizing.

This is just a FYI if anyone happens to have a 50 AE or a 440 Corbon upper.  There are ways to get it back rolling again if one reloads.

Interesting. Looks like an upscaled .357 Sig.

Yes, it does.  There was a time when the 357 Sig game out, a BUNCH of necked down rounds came out.  The 40 Super, the 400 Corbon, there was a .380 necked to .25 cal.....  I don't know which came first or latter.  There has been wild cats of the 45 ACP being necked down to 44 or 9mm (.355")..... some survived, others did not.
