I'm new to carbon arrows and I just picked up a new PSE bow. Along with it I got the Bass Pro Blackout X5 envy arrows. What does it mean on the box Caution, flex it first?

Oh, great. Yet another thing to worry about. We didn't have that problem with aluminum arrows back in the day.

Because aluminum arrows just bend and its obvious when they are no good.  Carbon arrows, while strong just need to be flexed after a mishap where the arrow hits a hard target or deflects.

Trust me nothing like not checking and arrow and shooting it and watching it come apart inches from your face

Yeah, not good. I guess it's just like anything else in this world. I got a Huricane target for the back yard. The bow guy at Bass Pro suggested it. It's the 28"x28" so I shouldn't have an issue. Now getting those tighe groups may cause a problem. The arrows I got with the bow were the Bass Pro Blackout X5 Envys. They seemed pretty good on the bow range. I'm at 30" on the length and 55# draw weight. The bow goes to 60# but 55 felt real good. As I go through these arrows, I will get some better ones.
