Have any of you guys tried these: Link
They are the California Competition Works Shell Caddy-4 rnd made from glass filled nylon (plastic). I know they are not the nice aluminum ones but i have to start somewhere and they fit the budget a lot better.

I use the 6 rounders... I load more reliably with grabbing only 3 rounds... they come with spacers...I add a loop velcro strip to add a little more retention

If you have a belt system that can use Safariland ELS kit, buy their version. It is the same thing as you listed and made by CCW, but comes with ELS attachments at lower price level. I use these and have the inserts installed. Have used it practicing and at 2 matches now and have no issues with them so far. I bought these because I thought that I will invest into more AP 8-shell caddy as they were always out of stock and I was only able to get 2 of those.

Wow, never seen that stuff. I LIKE THAT! I will be using that in the very near future.

I picked those up with the ELS system last month.  I've only used them in one match but it worked great.  I too could not do four at a time initially but now I can and I'm much faster than side saddle and arm band set up I had before.  Just watch the videos posted here and practice.

Rob122... you are dealing with an old man here ... what we identified from videos at the past Ft Benning matches was that us old guys lost fine motor skill towards the end of a long shotgun stage... so we started loading out of the trays at the beginning, and ended up off the side saddle and armband 1 load at a time as the adrenalin started to catch up... we may not have shot better, but more importantly we LOOKED better....

Looking good is important too.

I prefer Mark Otto's carriers personally but everyone has their own preference. Instead of worrying about price I would try and get some loading time with as many types and pick the one you like best. It's always cheaper to be an informed buyer the first time around.

I honestly wish I had that luxury. I dont even know anyone in my area that shoots 3 gun and events are not all that common. I usually just end up shooting pistol matches. Those carriers are sexy as hell though.

What are you located? You might be surprised if you do a search on Enos' competition forum to see some pretty close to you. What shotgun will you be shooting?

I just got on Enos forum so I will start asking. I just picked up the 22" Mossberg 930 JM and a welded lifter. That thing is SWEET!

I just switched to the DUALOAD system from TACCOM right before the CMMG Midwest 3-Gun and love it. Sweet set up for about the same price as typical shotshell caddies. I don't ever see myself loading weakhand again. IMHO the 2 shell loading system is way easier to learn, faster and you are much less likely to fumble shells on the clock.

Also from TACCOM, the Quick Caddy for traditional weakhand load.  Same price or cheaper than the CCW but for me a lot easier to use.

I like how they are pretty much open which makes it easier to grab the shells.  A key difference for me was being able to get my thumb around the shells right away.

I like the Carbon Arms FSL8s, you can do weak/strong hand load 2 or even weak hand only. I started with one on each hip and just finally decided weak side works best for me.
