| I'm looking to start into 3 gun and I haven't decided on a pistol yet. My LGS has an FNS-9 without the safety. I thought they only came with safeties and so I hadn't really considered the FNS for 3 gun. |

Team FN is using it.
Carbon Arms makes magazine extensions, Dawson (I think) makes sights. It will work. But, there is much better aftermarket support for the Glock and Smith M&P. If you check these two models out and like the FNS better, by all means go w/ the FN. |

The model without safeties were available for LEO sales for a while, but they said they are introducing it to the civilian market.
I have one of these sitting around just to have one but the safety being there will never make it into my serious use firearm. Also, the trigger has broken in pretty nice after a few hundred shots for me. |

The FNS has a manual thumb safety. Even though it is striker fired, some ROs may insist on you applying the safety when abandoning. Unless you really love the FN, the M&P without manual safety is likely to be a better bet for you. I heard rumor that the 3GN pro series is doing just that. |
