[ARCHIVED THREAD] - XDM 5.25 .45 Question

I was looking for an XDM 5.25 in 9mm when I came across a .45 version, barley used, for $550. I couldn't pass that deal up. My biggest question is what mag extension are guys using for the XDM's? My 2nd question is, what do most guys do to these guns or are they pretty good for comps right out of the box? Thanks for the help.

XDM 45's use the same magazine as the XD 45's. I think Arradondo makes extended bases for XD 45's.

They are not bad out of the box. I would add the extended magazine release and trigger kit from Springer Precision. I would also get spare pipes for the front sight as they do break now and then.
