Im building a 3-Gun upper and I tend to like lightweight. I was thinking about going with the Daniel Defense .625 barrel which is hammer forged and chrome lined. From what I understand most people consider a good stainless barrel to be more accurate than a chrome lined barrel. So my question is, assuming I do my part, would the DD .625 barrel shoot MOA? Does anyone have specific examples of a Stainless subtantially out shooting Chrome lined.

Who makes a good stainless barrel thats not too heavy and maybe fluted. I do like the Stag 3G. It that barrel fairly heavy ?

thank you

Ted

Here's a fluted, SS barrel for a great price from a company that is creating a great following: Loki Weapon Systems

I was torn between building an upper with Loki parts or JPE parts just a few days and ultimately ended up going with JP. I don't think I could be any happier knowing the parts I have on order from JP but I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with a LWS setup either.

Another thing to consider if you've given JP any thought is that their price is much higher on the barrel without the kit but it also includes their enhanced bolt that is matched to your barrel perfectly. Also JP's barrel doesn't have M4 extensions, Loki and most others do––if that matters to you.

The Stag barrel is an HBAR that is fluted in front of and in back of the gas block.  U can't currently buy the barrel that comes in the 3G without buying the upper.

If you dont want to wait I have both an 18" JP mid contour and an 18" JP light contour barrel that are stainless and shoot lights out accurate.
