After reading reviews on the various new 1-6 power scopes I thought about the option of a vx-6 with a custom reticule.  If you play around on Leopold's custom shop website you can choose the yardage for the parallax setting.  Factory settings on most of their scopes are 150 yards I believe.  For strictly competition usage what would be the best parallax setting?  Would it be better to move it in because of the amount of close range shots or move it out to help with the over 300 yard stuff?

I think I need a lesson on the parallax setting.  I didn't know there were options???

In low power scopes It really is not a big concern.  But when you stretch out the variance or range of magnification to 6X I don't know what it will be like.

Good question. Im guessing set it to longer range where the targets are smaller but don't know how much it will affect small close targets.
