Is this a good option for a 3 gun scope or is there something better?

Yes it will work for 3gun. It's a decent scope.

There are better scopes. What's your budget? You can blow over 2k for a really good scope. What kind of reticle do you want? Reticles are very personal.

I'd like to stay at 500 or under. I am open to reticle as ive used a few different ones throughout the years hunting. I guess prefer something clear which won't distract down range. What's more important is I'd like a light weight scope.

In the sub $500 range there are a few worth looking at. The MTAC, Vortex Strike Eagle, Viper, Primary Arms, SWFA??,Nikon, Bushnell, And Weaver, might be others.

They are all going to be Second Focal Plane, which works fine, and is preferred by many.

I would do some research into reticles, specs, and price.

I'll take a look tom. You have 1-4 or 1-6 power?

What's a good mount which is light to use?

Thanks

I have a MTAC 1-4. In the matches I shoot we don't shoot past about 250 yds. My 18 year old son shoots a Nikon 1-4 and usually comes in 1-5 in the standings on the rifle portions of a typical match. Young, 20-20 vision is sorely missed by this gizzer. I use a AERO Precision light weight mount. Some don't consider it robust enough (3.2 oz), but it's been working for me. I wanted my rifle as light as possible.

Oh there are probably better ones. Up in the $200-$350 dollar range. There are scope mounts in the $75-$160 range, comparable in cost to the AERO, but nothing is as light as the AERO. It just depends on how much you want to blow.
