I am new to this and still learning the rules before my first build.
Does anyone use 300 black to make major? Or 300 black to make a small 8" sbr type, course it would be well above minor PF even in a short barrel. How often are 556 SBRs used and how are they making minor PF? Just really heavy bullets loaded hot? |

No major match I'm aware of is using major/minor scoring for non-heavy divisions. My impression is it's difficult to hit the standard major PF for rifle with .300BLK, and it will be very difficult with an SBR. There are only disadvantages to .300BLK for this game. No advantages. |

Thanks. I thought there was major and minor. I need to find a read a current copy of the rules.
As far as SBR, I would think 300 would be an easy way to hit minor with a very short suppressed set up, but that does not sound common. I think I will just build a 16/18" .223upper. |

Thanks. I thought there was major and minor. I need to find a read a current copy of the rules. Under current USPSA Multi-Gun rules there are 2 types of scoring allowed. Hit Factor: same as traditional USPSA scoring. Major and minor power factor count. Hit factor scoring is RARELY used in Multi-Gun/3-gun matches. Time-Plus: most common scoring. Major and Minor power factor is irrelevant. Both are scored the same. |
