i wonder how a rockriver operator III would  work for 3 gun competition ? DOES ANY BODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH ONE ? or opinions, thanks

If you are speaking of the R3, I have one and haven't had any issues - shot one match since obtaining, holds on target well. Good balance, fluted barrel. One MOA out to 300 yds.

Is it the best choice? Probably not; the 16" barrel, 2-stage trigger, brake design etc. are not what most would choose, but at least it has a free float handguard. For the $1000 price there are better choices, but if you already have one or are in love with it, go ahead. It is an AR15 - it can be workable.

I like RRA but I think you can find something more "3gun" for the money.  You can build one for that money getting exactly what you want with current prices and sales.  CDNN had the Colt Competition rifle for $700 which may work well ( no personal experience) as well as many others.

I think that CCR may be carbine gas after looking at the specs.
