In the tactical optics division can I only use my 1x4 scope or can I also have offset steal sights? I see some videos with people using this setup.
Looking at the rules it says "Scoped rifles may be equipped with no more than one (1) optical sight". Are the videos im seeing guys in the open division ? Thanks |

Optical sights include your scope and any of the red dot electronic sights available.
Put a scope plus a separate red dot and you are in Open. But with a scope and a set of iron sights mounted anywhere on the gun, you are still legal for T.O. From my understanding, a good scope set at true 1X will be faster for most shooters than the iron sights. The benefit of having both on your gun comes when you have a mix of near and far targets. There it can be faster to switch between your scope at 4X and your iron sights than it would be to rotate the scope from 4X back to 1X. HTH. Bill |
