I did some testing today with three comps and an A2 flashhider and had some varying results on the shot timer. Basically when I had a comp on the muzzle my times when up a second or two.
Have you guys had any issues with your timer while running a comp? I had the comp clipped to my shorts pocket. |

It was basically the first time I had fired any of the comps so I could have been flinching. Looking at the video, the comps greatly reduced the rearward movement but like I said the 6 shot strings were slower.
I shot from low ready (same position every time), 6 shots from about 7 yards into a paper plate with a 3"circle in the center. The goal was to keep all 6 shots on the plate, preferably the center circle of the plate and even better than that the 3" circle as fast as possible. With the comps I had a couple strings over 6 seconds. There was no way it took me 6 seconds to shoot 6 rounds. ETA: After watching the video again there is no way, something must have been up with the timer. I was getting off 6 shots in well under 2 seconds according to the video's counter. |
