I'm used to predator hunting which means I'm used to being covered from head to toe.  How carried away do you need to get to be properly concealed when stalking hogs?  Should you cover your face & hands or is a top & bottoms good enough?

Jeans and a tshirt will work. They don't see all that great.

They have a good sense of smell and their hearing is good, but they don't see well.  Stay downwind and wear what you want.

I don't think they hear all that well either. This is just my experience. I routinely sneak up on sleeping hogs and kill them from just a few feet or even inches away. I took video of me talking to a sleeping pig not long ago. I had to raise my voice to wake him up and I was close enough to put hands on him.

Thanks guys, saved me some cash by not having to buy lightweight camo

Wear dark stuff and thats about all you have to worry about as far as camo goes.
Their hearing is OK but they make so much noise while rooting and fighting each other that they will often not hear anything.

Their smell is great. If they smell you they will stop and listen and start getting skittish.  If you see one stick his nose in the air and start sniffing, be ready to shoot.

Hogs have about the same eyesight as the average human they can also hear pretty well.  Hogs are low to the ground and while they are eating their line of sight is usually blocked by grass and vegetation.  If you have ever been close to a sounder of hogs eating they make a lot of noise which covers your noise approaching The reason you can walk up to them in jeans and a t-shirt during the day is they have no natural predators here.  Once they get shot at they will be a lot harder to stalk.  You don't need a ghilllie suit but camo will help on wary hogs.

I wore my woodland digis when I went "hog hunting" (see: me and my buddy wandering around the woods of central FL and feeding pigs corn and jello )

Videos are a real pain in the ass for me to post especially ones taken from my phone, but here are some pics.

This was the one that I videoed.

Sleeping

Some bigger ones I killed in their sleep.

Two with one shot.

Clharr,  Do they make noise while there sleeping??  It would be fun to get up close like that.  Real wild when you opened up on em I bet.

It just takes practice. The longer I'm out of the jungle the weaker I get while Charlie gets stronger.

They kind of remind me of dogs as they seem to dream and wiggle around. The one I videoed was clearly dreaming as he was shaking and grunting a little. I think I've heard a few snore as well. I don't typically shoot them in their sleep anymore since I do the majority of that kind of sneaking around during deer season, so I take pics and move on.
