I've heard that if you soak or pour diesel on corn you put out, only hogs will eat it. I tried this in a trench I dug hoping that the cattle and coons would leave the corn alone. But while I was pouring the diesel, the cattle lined up like they were at a cafeteria and proceeded to munch away as we walked away. Later that night while waiting to see if any hogs showed up, several deer came buy and spent 10-15 minutes each munching away - what gives?
So, I'm resigned to believe that diseling corn for the hogs is a myth. Now I'm wondering what kind of effect will the dieseled corn have on the critters that ate it? Thoughts? Ideas? |

I said this before so it was my first trapping.
Coons ate the corn out of the hog trap. Rats ate the sardines out of the coon trap. Ants ate the cheeze off the rat traps. Then tried diesal soaked corn and it made the coons hair fall out. I miss them days and the location...RIP...LS. |
