Watched this last night. I was not able to watch all of it but I was not all that impressed honestly.....Most of the people were catching hogs with dogs and removing them live. What the hell? In one scene at a ranch here in Texas they put a 300lb boar in the spotlight and watch as he walks away....I'm thinking, What the Fuck, SHOOT IT!

Yea, I understand in Tampa- one of the other locations they were filming you can't just blast around people's homes etc.....but for Christ Sake, cattle ranch in Texas????? Later in the show they caught the hog and another one.....out of a sounder of probably 15 hogs.....I'm thinking, BFD? You could have shot 3-4 of them at least. These guys are riding around in a pickup, four people, four dogs etc....What the hell are they charging for "pig removal"- $1,000 a hog? Maybe that's why they were doing "catch and release"......it seemed stupid to me.

I was thinking the same thing. Trapping or shooting from a helo is the most effective way of thinning them out.

Hell i would do it fo' free! I would even pay (nothing crazy), and probably kill more than the dog runners..

Part of it that they are not killing them straight away so they can be butchered at a later time to hand out to the less fortunate for food. Notice they didn't mention shooting as a means of removal on the Tx. ranch... the owners may not want shooting around their live stock, which I can see their point... but by air is the most effective way that's for sure.

The show Sunday night when they caught the big boar with the Great Dane, the lady killed it with a knife!  One of the shows last week the guy in Hawaii used a bow to kill one.  But overall not too impressed with the show.  They need the PIGMAN.
