I've seen a few videos on youtube of guys hunting hogs over a feeder with fences around.  They were able to find their way in and when the shooting started they had a hard time getting out in a hurry.

I was wondering if anyone had tried this and had any pointers for how to set up a fence in a confusing manner (i.e. hidden/false exits, funnels, curves, etc.)

The pictures I posted under the "My Targets this Weekend" show where we are going to be hunting.  Probably only going to use the fence that is available there so we won't have to cart more fencing out to the field.  I'm going to work on making some bait corn too.

Thanks

I searched for videos like that and could not find.

This is a great idea.  Do you have any links to videos or know the names?

finally found it HERE

If someone could hotlink that I'd be very appreciative

I talked to my buddy about it and we figured the best way would be to make them turn and go back to the middle of the pen to get out, like double 180 turns.  From that video it looks like the louder the gun the better

All that is is a feeder pen with the gate open.  We use them here in TX to keep the hogs out during deer season but then a lot of folks just open the walk through gate to let the hogs start using it in the off season.  Don't do anything fancy, it will just be a waist of time.  Build your pen, start the feeder and leave just the gate open.  After a couple of weeks the pigs will be used to using the gate and your ambush is set.  Definitely re-enforce your posts because the fleeing hogs will ram the fence.  I have had them hit so hard they stick their face through the cage squares.  The only thing you could do better would be to inset the gate about a foot so they run right by it in their haste.
As a side note the shooter is using a shotgun.  The shooting is usually fast and furious!

That definitely looks like it would be hard for them to find their way out once you start shooting.

Just make sure you over lap the edges of the U portion so they have to run the s turn.  When the shooting starts they just want to run hard and fast.
