Not coming to the feeders routinely, not being where they should, and then when we did have one under the feeder I let my cousin shoot and he missed ! !
Finally we were out there trying it again and were walking up to our blind about 7 PM. Before we even got there we saw them rooting up the field in a draw. They were probably about 60 yards away before we even noticed them (must really have not been paying attention).
My cousin has his 308 slung on his back and I had my handy M4 ready to go. So I dropped to one knee, put the red dot on one and let tet the hammer down !
Heard it squeel and then mayhem broke loose. Hogs were a'running. The draw was pretty narrow with cover on left and right. The group went right into the left hand cover and when we started walking up to see where they went they came back out running from the left to our right. Let loose again and got another one. Two neck shots. Man is this fun ! ! !
