So I've been hunting hogs for years and trapping them even longer but today I was pretty much dumbfounded by this group of hogs at my house today. I live in deep East Texas and we have a good bit of hogs here, I mean nothing like San Saba where I hunt and kill about 7-10 every weekend I'm out there but The "Pig bomb" is spreading pretty bad out this way now from my personal experience and from friends.

So anyways, I'm out mowing the front yard when all of a sudden I see a group of really good size hogs (one was at least 300) come running up in my yard. THESE ASSHOLES are literally within 20 yards of me. They come up, look at my ass on the lawn mower and are lookin a me like it's their damn yard! Do they run? Do they charge? O shit no, they just start tearing up the freakin grass right in front of me!!! I was just sittin there on my zero turn watchin them root away. So I floor the mower back around to my garage and grab my Beretta Pintail 12Ga loaded with some K.O. slugs, run through the damn house where I tripped over my dog and fell. Finally made it out the front door where the hogs are and finally get their attention. They look up at me and for some reason this time can tell I mean business. So they jet off with me right behind them. So, now I'm running like Geronimo through the damn woods jumpin over debris left by Hurricane Ike and I'm right on the tail of this little Piebald when they head into the thick brush that's just too hard to go through. It turns out though I had cut off a sow in my front yard from the rest of the group. So she comes waddling up from behind me. I got a good 15yd shot off on her but she ran so I just tried to lead her and unloaded the remaining two slugs.

It was just crazy, I've never seen hogs that bold before..
Anyways, enjoy the pics.

Also thought I would add some pictures from this summer out in San Saba with my friends.

Mower needs a gun rack. Or at least wear a sidearm.

O yeah, They are very lean and are great to eat. I really believe any wild animal tatses better than store bought. We make pork burgers, along with half pork, half deer burgers. The little ones are great for roasting whole.

So, how often does Larry the Cable Guy hunt with you? Seems he can only get rabbits while you get the piggies.

Yeah but don't you know that you aren't supposed to wear white shoes after labor day?

Now you got to start wearing a .44 mag on your hip when you mow.  Either that or put a gun rack on the Zero Turn Mower.

The pig bomb is serious.....this just shows you how close we are to these things attacking humans.....in the cities and places like that.  It will happen eventually.

That's normal attire down here.  I live near austin and hunt near nacogdoches.  When you get into the bottoms, there are pigs everywhere now.
