I can't answer for what they do in FL, but here in TX, you either take your chances getting shot in the National Forrest or PAY BIG TIME to hunt some where.

Over 30 years ago I lived in MO and there you can still ask a land owner to hunt for free, some will tell you no but most still allow it.  I still have family up there and no one there pays to Hunt that I know.

Edit:  I should add they do have places you pay to hunt Ducks and waterfowl, I was talking varmits and Deer in MO, yes even back then the Duck hunters were paying.

Keep an eye out in the classified section of your newspaper.
And check the Woods and Water mag.
You can find them for aroud a 1000 a year witch is not bad if you get one that has a camp site that you can use year round.
The privacy of it is the best if it is a small club. I never see anyone from our club outside of deer season.
