| I've killed a few coyotes here, and all but one have been while deer hunting from a climber. They are very active in this area but I'm having trouble bringing them in. The area is mostly rural pine/hardwood mixes in the upstate. I have seen a fair amount of scat when walking and can hear them just about every night shortly after dusk. Ive set up an ecaller (borrowed from a buddy) a few times in both morning and afternoon stands, but no luck as of yet. If I can start having some success, I'd like to use coyote hunting as a chance to stay outdoors more during the spring and summer months. Anyone here hunting coyotes in the south? If so, how are you doing and what set ups are working for you? |
