| So I'm looking to get into Coyote hunting and was looking into the possibility of selling the fur. I've been looking into the methods and what not, but I can't seem to find any info regarding the meat. Some people say they eat it, some says its disgusting. If I wasn't interested in eating it, what do you do with the bones and meat after you're done skinning it? Sorry if this is a noob question, the only thing I've hunted is bird so I don't know much about furred critters. Do most people just dump it? Seems like a waste. |

Here's how I see it:
Not only do they carry diseases and parasites but they have to be loaded with bio toxins as well. Coyotes are scavengers. They eat garbage and animals that are already dead and rotting or else to sick/old/young to run away. I don't know about you but I don't think road kill with a side of garbage sounds very appetizing. That's what coyotes are, once-metabolized road kill with a side of garbage. After all, you are what you eat. |

Coyotes are not as bad as you may think, but I wouldn't choose to eat it ever again: Why not eat predators?
As for the fur, prices vary based on the time of year and the market you are in. Most of the dead coyotes around here get kicked under a bush. |
