Where do you guys go? I'm from North Missouri looking to go next summer want to go some place cheap.

Try the Cimarron National Grasslands in SW KS. Lots of public ground, no fees unless you are camping. Just need a KS hunting license. Ton's of dog towns with good populations though they are a little down right now. Had a bad ice storm 2 years ago that hit right when a bout of the plague run through. Put a hurt on them but they are coming back nice. I was out there in Sept hunting antelope and saw plenty of prairie dogs.
Just make sure you get a road usage map and stay on the approved roads. ANY vehicle traffic off the approved roads and the Fed's will nail your ass. It is also Gov't pasture so you may have to work around some cattle but there will be plenty of towns to pick from. There is info about the grasslands on the web. |
