I am looking for a good backpack to use for coyote hunting. I am looking forsomething that will carry the gear I need but not too big. I am not going on a 3 day excursion or packing out a dead elk. I was looking at the Badlands Monster:

What do other people use? As a predator hunter i don't have alot of gear (binos, calls, water, etc.), but still want something to carry it that is not bulky.

I just use a small shoulder bag. Easy to take if when I get to stand, big enough to carry my essentials, and my back doesn't get all sweaty from a bunch of shoulder straps. I've also used a butt pack before - it was comfortable to carry but a little hard to get into.

Mine is not too cool. Just a grey duffel that I sling and pack in.

I'm there early so I can set up and get my stuff stowed before I have to worry about the 'yotes.

It looks cool though. But I'm usually prone, so I'm not sure I want anything that comes across the chest. YMMV.

I use a cheap turkey hunting pack I got at Walmart (cammo pack with one open pocket, a steel a frame that folds out to lean against, and a padded seat that drops down).

I'm running a waist-pack similar to the photo above, only it doesn't have the suspenders. I use it with a Camelbak backpack that has room for extra gear.

I pacl it and the rest of my gear in a tool-bag I found at the local hardware store. I put what I need in the waist-pack, and leave the rest in the toolbag.

The local Menards hardware store actually has some good gear that works well for predator hunter. A lot less expensive, too.
