If I was to catch the squirrel that keeps going into my house in a cage whats the best way to kill it. I live in the city so I can't really take a bag and hook it up to the car without ppl seeing me and knowing them they would call the cops. Cant use my gun. Didn't want to use poison because of my dogs and what not. Thinking about shooting it with a air gun. Seen pic of rat traps killing them. Just looking for the easiest way.

Snare, rat trap, small live trap in that order.

I prefer a rat trap for killing squirrels.  Drill a hole in it and screw it up high where the dogs can't reach it.  Bait it with peanut butter.

If you do use the live trap a 5 gallon bucket of water should be enough to drown a squirrel.  If not use a trash can.

We tried using peanut butter but the squirrel was to smart.   Finally had to drill a hole through a nut and wire it to the trigger.  That worked.

I've glued popcorn seeds to the trigger as well.

The squirrels gather their nuts at night while you're asleep. Better arm yourself.

Rat trap or air rifle would be my choice.

Pre-fill a larger (30+g trash can with water).   Drop the cage in.

That's what my great uncle did when catching varmints in his prize vegetable garden.  he had a lot of chipmunks burrowing.
Had a rain barrel next to the shed.  He'd carry the trap over and nonchalantly toss it in the full barrel.
DONE.  He even had a short piece of rope on the traps so he could drape it on the outside of the barrel and pull them back out easily.

For a rat trap,  wrap the trigger with some kite string or cotton string,  then smear the Peanut butter.
They'll start gnawing hard on the string and,  wham,  it'll go off everytime.

If you catch one in a trap, take it in the garage and put it in a large black trash bag.  Then pile some boxes or luggage around the back of your car like you're goin on a trip or something but leave space for that bag by the muffler that's "covered" as good as can be by the other stuff.  Then go take the bag out and hook it up for a couple minutes...

Nah, he was making tea.

I use a suppressed .22lr w/subsonic ammo, but an air rifle works too; very effective.  It's personal too, cause you have to look them in the eyes right before you shoot them in the eyes...

Find out were he is getting in... get some copper wire and large stick or branch. prop the stick up and secure to a wall, tree, fence ect. as a ramp, place bait at top of stick, make several nooses out of  thin copper wire and place them on the top side of the stick, as he climbs to get the bait, eventually he will snare him self and in the process of struggling free he will try to jump off the stick, and hang him self.. If he happens to only catch a limb, smack him at the base of the neck with a piece of rebar or any other dense object... I similar method would be to use a 50 gallon drum, or a large garbage can half full of water, make a ramp up it, then either hang bait from a string just out or reach, or build a bridge across the top out of something that either brakes or rolls over, with bait at the opposite end, and he will drowned himself..
