I live in Florida and I am having an issue with an Oppossum on my property every night and don't want to run into a problem when I take my dog outside.  I am in a residential area and I want to get rid of it.  I can't find anything online to let me know if it is legal to trap and then kill it on my property.  Can anyone on here help me out or make some suggestions.  I would rather not pay a trapper to come out, but if that is the only option then I guess I am stuck.

Thanks in advance.

Page 18 of your state's hunting regs says they can be snared, live trapped or hunted year round.

Call your states wildlife department to see if you are exempt from licensing since you're on your own property.

Check your local jurisdictions for laws concerning your residential location.

Did not Florida ban leg traps?
