Back years ago when I was still a teenager, I met an old man that told me this little tidbit of huntimg lore, and as of this moment, I have still to see otherwise. Thought that I would share it with some of you folks, and maybe it might make the difference some day between you and your family going hungry or a good little meal.

When you jump a rabbit while hunting, they will break and run to the left.

SO ........if you happen to miss with a first shot, keep tracking to the left, and you may get a second chance shot off to bag it anyway. I suppose there might be that one chance in a million that the silly thing might break to the right for a split second or so, but they do seem to favor the left when trying to get away from something.
Hope this helps some of you folks that like a good fried rabbit from titme to time.  MMMMM Fried Rabbit  AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I have seen a lot of rabbits break to the right, or just run straight away.

Does it matter in you are in the field or on the road?  I couldn't hit a rabbit with a 10 ga. at 5 paces if it was running right or left.
