Ok so lastnight I get settled in the sack with a bowl of Vanilla Ice Cream smothered in Caramel Get a spare barrel leaning against the safe and light and hunting for something we go... there he goes!!.......... Damn mouse! a search of the room with Trusty Daisy Pal vintage 1969 fully loaded and a Good light presented no shot or sight of unruly invader So today will be Trapping season opener here and I got to thinkin I should use a larger weapon and the thought craossed my mind that I should use a smoke pole of .54 cal and a PRB with a few grains of FFG to Bowl him(assume) over if you will giving me time to capture and interogate him, where are de others!!?? So the question I have is has anyone downloaded the ol smoke pole to say less than Hardwood penetrating velocity ?? I hope all who read this understand this means war and I will overcome the Terrorist Rodent!!! I have only had a mouse problem here 1 time in 8 yrs. and I got that SOB the first night behind the stove with a victor I recently left my Ham radio Ant. Cableing hole unprotected and must assume the lil bastard came in there, Hunting Season has begun! -2sigs |

Couldn't be any worse than the night my uncle trapped a "rat" (we're talking over 2 pounder here) in his middle bedroom and ran out of 45LC rat shot........, then finished the job w/ "live" 250grn 45LC ammo. I don't know which was worse the blood everywhere and holes in the baseboards or the beating he got from my aunt....... ![]() mike |
LOL reminds me of when I lived in TX. and read a question as to if a Ruger MKII with laser was unsporting for Cockroaches in the living room... Personally I feel not at all if ya close one eye and use weak hand Then again I never did find a good option other than salt on the threshold for Slugs and Did feel that Full Autu was serious option when traveling to bathroom bare foot at 3am...That linoleum and slugs was a mess -2sigs |
Better Man than I ! I ain't seen heard or caught that lil fkr yet...in due time -2sigs |
Thanks, we'll see if I really solved the problem. I've seen them in the woods behind my house every once in awhile. I have to find out how those little suckers got in. I am thinking its up the side of the wall where the a/c pipes go into the attic. The pipes are encased by a metal sleeve all the way up. There is a small opening at the bottom about 2 feet off the ground. Never noticed it till last weekend. Will plug it up this weekend. I feel like Bill Murray in Caddyshack, although I don't think the neighbors would like it if I blew up our yards. ![]() |
I'm going to get flamed for this I'm sure but, Airsoft gun. Seriously, I have killed many little rodents with a full auto burst of 6mm plastic. Don't worry about punching a hole in the floor either! Wear eye protection though. |
Really? How fast are your BBs going? |
Hmmmmm... I wonder if that would work for chipmunks in the yard that get a little to close. Hmmmmm.... |

After you catch the little hellion in a havaheart, toss his live butt out in a pond and watch him try to swim back. I've fed a few to bass, they must taste good. I'll admit that would be pretty cool to watch a big bass eat a mouse. I used to do that with bugs and I've caught a few bass on a mouse-imitation fly, but I've never actually seen it happen. |
