...this is what I get to do.

Look at his left rear foot.  He was only walking on three legs when he came in to the call.

Different yote.  I did both of these guys a favor.

It is nice to live where you can hunt them all year round.

Very nice!

I have only recently started hunting the coyote, yet to call one in.

Season here in Missouri opens again on May 12th...

Waiting to get out there again.

I need to get some howler calls and finish my e-caller.

How long have you been hunting coyotes?

I have only been hunting coyotes since November of 2006.

As for the foot, not really sure what to think of it.  My father-in-law thought it might have been a snake bite.  Or he was shot in the leg/foot at one time.  He might have tried to eat his foot off.  I have seen them do weirder things.

Good job calling them in this time of year!

Looks like maybe a trap had that foot?

Doubt a trap did that damage they are made to restrain not damage the animal. If traps were made to damage they would not use them to relocate different animals such as the otter, marten, fisher and a whole host of others.

Lot of different trap types though, eh?

Traps are'nt just used for relocating animals. Lot's of different kinds of traps and snares out there.

We can hunt them year around here, but you got to do it between rain storms. We had a pretty wet Winter this year.

Nice work.
