Took this girl just about an hour ago.

200 yards away she was getting chased by a big 8 pointer. He probably has a complex now thought he was gonna break his ankles trying to get the fuck out of there when I shot her.

Single shot. 64gr Winchester.

She went down right there.

Just curious as to why you didn’t shoot the 8 point?

my second deer ever.
she’s bigger than the first doe i shot back in november.

300BO ISR, 150gr soft tip. one shot, stunned her, took two steps forward then fell over. was tough to watch her take a few more breaths, but thankfully that only last another 30 seconds.

said a prayer & thanked her for feeding many mouths.

Got my first deer since I was a teenager.  About 75 yards with dad's old reloads 30-06 (Rem 700).  48gr of H380 on 150gr softpoint

Good lung shot.  Instant drop and bled out before I got to her.

Bloodshot a little of one of the shoulders but not too much meat wasted.   Decent sized hams on her.  Good sized backstraps.

I feel incredibly blessed to have been invited out.   Getting the deer was just the icing on the cake.

Muzzleloader doe in the back yard (back in December) Wife named her "Diva" because she liked to pose in front of the trail cameras, and eat her flowers.......that put her on the hit list  Duck dog was unsure how to bring this one back

I've been fighting some health problems but felt good enough to get out my smokeless muzzleloader.  I was hunting on top of the back stop on the shooting range.  I saw the first doe at 200 yards and she started walked toward me, it took a hard right turn so I took the shot.  She turned back and ran about 30 yards before she dropped over.  The second one came out about 60 yards she was quartering towards me and stopped to eat.  Since she was stopped I went ahead and took the shot, she rand about 20 yards before crashing down.

I like to donate the first deer from our property to the hungry so its always nice to get two. I know they are little ones, but they are good eats, and it was a great day to be outside enjoying the outdoors!  Those barnes really make an exit
