I believe it only specifies no fmj-ball ammo. But those are the only two in my inventory to choose from. Was going to pick up some sst but they were not to be found.

The Sierra will probably be easier to find a good accurate load for.

Think I'm doing okay with the 129s so far.

Then use those.

Why were you asking, if you'd already found a load?

I have no experience with the 6.5 options listed but have made very accurate loads in 308 with Interlocks

I think he's asking which would be better to hunt with

I'm shooting an 18" grendel, just wondering about performance...

I did just load 25 of the Sierras over AA2230 for load work-ups...

123gr Sierra Match King

Killed dozens of deer.

My Grendel loves the 120gr Sierra Pro Hunter.  Shoots them into tiny groups and did well on a couple of coyotes that I have hit with it.  Max charge of TAC

Either bullet will work well.  They are both no frills deer bullets.  My daughter just killed a deer with a .243 and 100 grain Sierra Pro Hunters at 200 yards.  I have killed deer and antelope with the interlock in 30-06  The loads worked well.  Dead deer and antelope.  Good exit.  Use the bullets that are designed for deer.  Both of those are.  Good luck.

ETA.  My current go to bullet in my 30-06 and 30-30 are Speer Hot Cors.  I am also working up a load in my Blackout with Speer Hot Cor bullets as a purpose build for mountain lions over hounds.  I just like that type of bullet.

I have seen the Sierra game king bullets separate from the jackets. That doesn't seem to be the issue as much with spitzer style bullets.  The SST bullets also seem to expand a bit much for my liking.

Not a Grendel, but 120 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips have worked great on deer and antelope in my 6.5 X 55 Swede.
