| Posted in homestead section, but no replies. There is a localish guy selling Fallow Deer. I need the hive opinion on the meat. I do eat venison (whitetail) but some preliminary research shows they are bloodier than a whitetail. What say you? |

If the carcass is cared for and bled properly, I don't understand why it would be any 'bloodier' than any other deer's meat.
Perhaps gamier tasting (or not?) but probably not 'bloodier'. But I'm talking through my hat as I have never had it so I fully admit ignorance here if that's not the case. |
