To me anyway. Never heard of it before.
Powdered salt lick. I don't remember the name but it comes in a 50lb bag. and Strawberry koolaid. Mix it all together. Post hole digger. With the post hole digger dig a post hole 2 ft deep. Deeper if you feel up to it. Fill with the powder & let nature takes its course. Rain will leech the minerals out iinto the surrounding soil. Theory is that deer hit a salt lick only now & then because if they did it more often it irritates their tongue. The soft powder form doesn't do that. The boys that use this mothod claim that the licks last several years. |
