Anyone have any recommendations?  I am in the market for one this year and would like to know pros and cons of various systems.

The one I have been using is an old, lower quality one.  I wore it under my jacket but I think this year I'm going to try to put it over.

TIA,

Corey

Which HSS are you guys using?

Is there a big difference between the pro and the other units?

I use a Loggy Bayou strap system.  No vest.  I had several HSS.  I just sold the Pro version.  Had lots of pockets, but way too heavy  The HSS vest is a good system but just too heavy.  The Muddy looks real nice, kind of like my Loggy Bayou.  I just got my latest Bass Pro shop flyer in the mail.  Looks like HSS now has a strap system only to compete with the other guys.  Looks promising.

That looks real slick!  This may very well be my next vest - but so far, my Seat Of the Pants Original is working great.

It looks like the metal device which releases the rope is right where my back would touch the tree when leaning back in the stand.  Am I seeing that right?

Thanks!

Yeah, it is between my back and the tree but it doesn't take up that much space and is not uncomfortable. It actually allows me to wear thinner clothes becausethe whole thing keeps my back warm.

The one that came with my Gorilla stand was really nice, but dammit it's LOST from last year, or somehow made into someone else's truck. It's a bummer to have to buy another one.

Gotcha.  So you're saying it doesn't dig into your back when you're leaning against the tree?
