I have the opportunity to get a Ruger Frontier in 308 for a good price. Are scout rifles any good or would my money be better spent getting a full size M77? Thanks for any thoughts.

I myself do not like "scout" rifles. I do however like a good carbine with an 18"-20" barrel.

I have gotten a 3/4" group at 100 yards with it

I would jump on it. I've got a .243 Frontier and with reloads have been getting .75 @ 100 with it. They are very handy rifles.
