Got it the IC7300 today. Soldered up the power leads, attached the antenna and made Washington DC on 7.272 for POTA for my first contact on the new rig.

Much better HF radio choice and build quality than the Xeigu G-90.

I've had mine since '18 and love it.
There are a lot of features that you have to read the complete manual to discover. The SWR plotter is one. The antenna tuner matching range increases with frequency, especially above 40 Meters,

Congrats!  This is a terrific video series that takes you through a lot of the features and mentions the sections in the full manual.

I'm very happy with my 7300!

I read dozens of reviews and watched numerous YouTube videos about the 7300 and I'm still impressed with it. As mentioned above so many features it feels like cheating after starting out on HF with the G90. And yes I will get around to removing the plastic protector, at some point.

I can send you one of my configurations via e-mail if you like.
You can have as many configurations on your SD card as you like
and you can choose from them in a few seconds.  Always of course be sure to save out
your last up to date good working configuration.

And if you don't have an SD card, be sure to buy one.

You bet. I get a hell of a lot of fun out of my shitty chinese junk radio. I make plenty of contacts, and customer support has been outstanding.

I have no regrets about buying the G90 and still plan to use it for POTA activation if I fix the headphone jack. Have not heard back from customer service yet.

If you end up needing one let me know. I bought a bunch when I got the part for my screw up. Mine was out of warranty, and I didn't bother to ask them to fix my mistake. It was my fault I broke it for forgetting to take off the headphones.

Will do, I'm out of warranty as well but thought they might respond with suggestions for a repair facility or pricing for repair. I think I'll try to resolder this one and see what happens. I did the same thing with my headphones so it was on me when I broke it.

I have a dozen or so, and I doubt I ever use them up. I actually broke the jack. It was still soldered down, but the plastic is what cracked.
There are no official repair facilities in the US, but there are folks that work on them.

Would you mind sharing with me as well? I just got back into the hobby. I passed Extra a couple of weeks ago and have a new radio in the box. Got the preliminary setup finished on an 80-10 OCF dipole today and will try to get on the air tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

I will be looking for your email or drop box info to attach the file. Can't send files thru the messaging system, or I don't know how.

It has to be the most popular modern radio on the air. Congrats, new radio day is always a good day.
