I have an S7 noise floor on 40, but I'll give it a shot in a couple.
eta: Couldn't be too bad. One call one check in. |

"Moral of this lesson: Don't get in any gun fights with buffalo hunters. There ain't no such thing as cover." - Old_Painless on the 45-70.

I think this was the first time I was copied directly by NC! Usually I need a relay.

|
|
Wow, band conditions deteriorated fast. I could hear NC 5x9 during check in but now I can barely copy him.

Thanks for running the net, Gyprat!

I just joined on 80m, NC is at least 5x8 for me tonight.
Probably the best I've ever heard the NC. Thanks Gyprat! |

14 check-ins on 40 meters.
6 check-ins on 80 meters. Thanks for your participation. QRN was terrible tonight. |

View Quote I was really happy to be able to make it in on both bands. I had S9 noise on 80m, but you were well over it and easy copy. I never knew my 72’ wire would work so well on 80m. Been a ham for almost 60 years now, and still figuring out how this stuff works. |

Just a heads up. I may not be able to run the next net from my home station. I'll try to run it from a portable setup but it's obviously not as good as the home station.

7.213?

There are hundreds of reasons to own a gun but it’s mostly the reasons I can't think of that make me glad to have them.

I got gyprat but it degraded fast. Such is the life. My daughter was here but she couldn't hear well enough to talk.

http://rx.linkfanel.net/ Remote SDR used to hear alternate net control. The remote receive site was in Lexington, Kentucky.

Net Control is switching over to 80 meters and will post on the forum as soon as he is operational for anyone who would like to check in.
He is out in the wilderness and needs a few minutes to make some antenna changes. Please watch for his post in about 10 minutes. |

I use these remote SDR sites all the time due to the poor band conditions. These remote receive sites really help when I want to really hear something.

Guys, I pushed myself too much today. Have no juice left to drag myself to the shack. Just hurting too much. You'll have to do without me tonight. Sorry.

Ha, The 2m would still work but the folded dipole is done. I took both ends down yesterday when the ice started so I think it will be ok. I was a little too slow, the ice jammed the pully so couldn't drop the center. |

Ill upgrade to a guy free tower someday... |

Is there a NET tonight, or is everyone wore out with election fatigue?

The only problem is that 40 meters has been very unkind to me here lately. I'll stick around and see if I hear anyone. Doesn't look very promising. The spectrum scope is flat. |

If its broke. I can fix it. If it doesn't exist. I can make it. If its metal.

I'll give it a try. What freq are you all on?
