What am I listening to? It's one station that's been going for about 10 minutes that I know of.  HRD won't decode it very well.

EDIT: Finally done. They were sending a novel via CW. I only got part of it.

ARRL W1AW code bulletins.

It's interesting that HRD did not decode it. The ARRL bulletins are all sent by computer, meaning that the code timing is perfect and unchanging, and they are usually the only CW that I've ever found HRD and Fldigi to decode perfectly. You would, of course, expect that for machine sent/machine received CW. Maybe one of the CW decoder settings in your installation of HRD is wrong.

W1AW schedule, bulletins, and code practice files are available here: http://www.arrl.org/code-practice-files

ahhhhh makes sense now. Thanks for the info. I don't know why HRD wouldn't decode it other than it is probably my fault. I have not messed with CW much and I'm sure

I had a setting wrong somewhere. Learning CW is on my List after I finish studying for Extra.

Same here, HRD would never decode anything much but W1AW practice code & it would copy it almost perfect most times.

Maybe QSB?
Depending on SNR maybe the program couldn't make out the signal

Could be. Looking at the signal it was not very clear compared to how it usually looks for psk or JT. It looked as if it was fading in and out, but the strange thing is the signal was coming in at S9.

No idea.
